Why does my induction hob ignore certain pans?
Either the pan itself isn't induction-compatible, or a coil or sensor underneath has failed — we'll work out which when we visit.
Can a crack in the glass actually be repaired?
Not usually — the panel gets replaced rather than patched. We source replacement panels for the major brands.
My gas ring won't catch — should I be worried?
Stop using that burner and give us a call. Igniters and gas valves are common faults and safe to fix once we're there.
Do you charge just to come and diagnose it?
No charge if you go ahead with the repair — only a small fee if you decide not to.
Is it safe to keep using a hob that smells of gas?
No. Turn off the gas supply at the valve, ventilate the room, avoid operating switches or creating sparks, and call us immediately — we treat suspected gas leaks as urgent.
